  • There are two types of antioxidants used in beverages: those that help preserve the product itself such as mixed tocopherols and rosemary extract, and those that are present because of their nutritional benefits (CoQ-10, pycnogenol, berry extracts, cocoa flavanols, etc.)  Some products like ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) serve a dual role, helping to preserve color stability while providing a certain percentage of the RDI for this important nutrient.
